Minutes of the November 13, 2006 Meeting

Steve Wooten, KC0QMU, the Emergency Coordinator, presided at the monthly meeting of the St. Louis County ARES^® group on November 13, 2006.

Steve said that the group currently has 63 members, 27 of whom stay active at least on a monthly basis.

Steve mentioned that St. Louis County ARES^® would have a table at Winterfest on January 27, 2007.

Steve said that Cliff Rozar, KC0SDV, creates oak call sign desk ornaments. Cliff has donated certificates for these ornaments to the ARES^® group, and we raffle one off at each hamfest. The winner of the Halloween Hamfest raffle was Rob Robinson, KC0VPL.

Steve invited anyone interested in joining the group's Planning Committee to do so.

Steve said that the December ARES^® group meeting would be a social get-together rather than a formal meeting. Everyone is welcome to attend. Anyone wishing to bring food is free to do so. Please contact Steve to let him know.

Eric Bueneman, N0UIH, gave a presentation on "Covenants, Conditions, and Restrictions".

Craig Hirsh, K0CMH, gave a demonstration of digital modes.

The meeting was adjourned, and a debriefing was held for those members who had participated in the Simulated Emergency Test in October.
