Net Control Station information

We encourage all ARES® members to act as the Net Control Station for our weekly 2 meter net. You can do it just once, just occasionally, or you can become one of our regular Net Controllers.

During the net the Net Controller may ask the participants to answer a question. This is a list of potential questions.

Weekly HF voice nets

St. Louis County ARES® does not have any regular HF nets at this time, but we do encourage participation in the following nets:

  • Missouri Emergency Services Net:
This Missouri-wide net is not restricted to ARES® operations, but is open to any emergency communications needs. The practice net is held every Sunday afternoon at 6:30 PM on 3.963 MHz LSB. The Net Controller will call for check ins by county, but you do not have to be a member of ARES® to participate.
