This is a list of local and regional emergency communications networks. In addition to emergencies, most of these nets activate on a regular basis for training and information purposes.
  • St. Louis County ARES®
    Frequency: 146.850 (-) MHz, CTCSS tone 141.3 Hz
    Scheduled Voice Nets: Wednesdays, 7:30 PM Central Time
    Notes:
    Directed net
    All amateur radio operators are welcome to check in to scheduled net.

    Frequencies: 145.085 MHz simplex FM, 145.070 MHz simplex FM
    Scheduled Digital Nets: Wednesdays, immediately after the ARES® weekly voice net.
    Notes:
    Directed net.
    The purpose of this net is to give the participants an opportunity to test their digital equipment and software. The net starts in PSK31 mode. After the net has run under PSK31 for a while, the Net Controller will ask all participants to switch to 145.070 MHz simplex FM (no tones) and to use packet radio mode. Contact will be made through the Missouri Emergency Packet Network (MEPN) 'MSTL' node.
    All amateur radio operators are welcome to participate.

  • St. Louis County RACES/SKYWARN (severe weather)
    Frequency: 146.940 (-) MHz
    Alternate: 147.360 (+) MHz (if above frequency not available)
    Scheduled Nets: First Thursday of each month, 7:00 PM Central Time
    Notes:
    Directed net
    All amateur radio operators are welcome to check in to scheduled net.

  • Missouri Emergency Services Net
    Frequency: 3.963 MHz, LSB
    Alternate: 7.263 MHz, LSB
    Scheduled Nets: Sundays, 6:30 PM Central Time

    Directed net
    All amateur radio operators are welcome to check in to scheduled net.
    Check ins taken by Missouri ARES® districts. (These are the same as the Missouri Highway Patrol districts.) Check ins also taken from amateur radio operators in neighboring states.

  • Missouri Emergency Packet Network
    Frequency: 145.070 MHz, packet, 1200 baud
    Scheduled Nets: (See St. Louis County ARES® digital net above.)
    Notes:
    The plan is to build a state-wide emergency packet network.
    Connect to node "MSTL" and type in "INFO".
    At this time all amateur radio operators are welcome to login and utilize the network.

  • "The Repeater Is Down" Net
    Frequency: 145.110 MHz
    Scheduled Nets: Sundays, 7:00 PM
    Notes:
    Directed net
    This is a southern Illinois test net. It starts on the 145.110 repeater (CTCSS tone of 127.3 Hz), then the Net Controller turns it off and runs the remainder of the net simplex.
    All amateur radio operators are welcome to participate.
